Inhofe to run for fifth Senate term at age 85

Jim Inhofe Running For Re-Election
Inhofe: “I’m now in the best position ever to help Oklahoma.”

Jim Inhofe (R-Tulsa) announced he is running for re-election today with the below television advertisement running statewide on both cable and broadcast beginning Friday:

“Socialist Democrats are trying to destroy everything that makes America great: our strong military, economy, jobs and way of life,” Inhofe said. “Oklahomans don’t want a big government takeover. I’m running again to be the conservative voice in the Senate, to stand with President Trump and to lead the fight against liberal efforts to control our lives, destroy the military and take over the economy.

“Oklahomans deserve a leader in Washington, and a senator who can make sure the federal government works for us, not the other way around. As chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I am in the best position to continue serving Oklahomans in Washington. I’m proud of my record advancing conservative reforms and shutting down liberals. And I’m not done yet. If the good people of Oklahoman will have me, I look forward to continuing my service.”
