Former Acting AG under Trump endorses Gray for Senate

FORMER ACTING ATTORNEY GENERAL MATT WHITAKER ENDORSES ALEX GRAY FOR SENATE

Oklahoma City, OK – Today, U.S. Senate candidate and former Trump national security official Alex Gray announces the twelfth endorsement of his campaign. This endorsement comes from former acting U.S. Attorney General under President Trump, Matt Whitaker.

Whitaker, a former United States Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, served as acting Attorney General before the confirmation of William Barr in 2018.

“Alex Gray has the significant national security experience we need in the U.S. Senate given today’s threats and challenges. His support of President Trump, from the 2016 campaign until his last day in the White House, is unquestioned. I’m pleased to support Alex in his campaign to be Oklahoma’s next US Senator,” Whitaker said in a statement endorsing Alex Gray.

“AG Whitaker has served our country loyally and with passion for many years. I am honored to have worked with him in the Trump Administration and even more so that he has endorsed my campaign for United States Senate,” Gray said in response to the endorsement.

Whitaker joins Senator Mike Lee of Utah, former National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien, former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell, former Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense Kash Patel, Lt. Gen. (Ret) Keith Kellogg, former Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller, Congressman Paul Gosar, former Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, former U.S. Senator and Governor of California Pete Wilson, and Trump Economic Advisor Adam Boehler in endorsing Gray’s campaign.
