Oklahoma Midwives celebrate passage of licensure bill

From Oklahomans for Midwives, yesterday:
We are so glad to announce that SB1823 passed through the House today providing an avenue for licensure for your Oklahoma CPMs!

It is now expected to go on to the Governor's desk and be signed into Oklahoma Law. Thank you for all the support and calls to your legislators and to the legislators who helped make this possible! You are so powerful in your resolve to help the childbearing families of Oklahoma!

Take today to celebrate, but remember that we are not done working, yet. We will need to continue to work together to ensure that you can have access to midwives who can care for you to the extent of their scope and abilities.
