School Freedom Fund slams Frix for supporting shocking CRT legislation

State Rep. Avery Frix, candidate in the 2nd Congressional District GOP runoff, voted for a shocking piece of legislation that is chock-full of Critical Race Theory.

School Freedom Fund, a PAC operated by Club for Growth and supporting Josh Brecheen in the runoff, is running a new ad slamming Frix for voting with the Democrats in favor of the bill.

The Frontier traces dark money in CD2 race

Journalist Reese Gorman at The Frontier has a great article out tracing some of the "dark money" that has flooded into the 2nd Congressional District race this year: Super PACs are spending big on GOP candidates in Oklahoma’s open U.S. House and Senate races.

Club for Growth group jumps in to boost Josh Brecheen's CD2 campaign

The School Freedom Fund, a Club for Growth affiliated group, has just put $260,000 into promoting the 2nd Congressional District candidacy of Josh Brecheen.

A former staffer for Sen. Tom Coburn and an ex-state senator (2010-2018), Brecheen is one of 14 Republicans running for the 2nd District seat. Club for Growth had a lengthy history of backing Dr. Coburn's political and legislative efforts, so in one sense this could be a final favor to the good doctor, whose widow, Carolyn, has endorsed Brecheen

Bice endorsed by prominent OK Ag leaders

Oklahoma Agriculture Leaders Endorse Stephanie Bice for Congress

OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 11, 2020) – Stephanie Bice, Republican candidate for Congress in Oklahoma’s 5th district, is proud to announce the endorsement of leaders from across Oklahoma’s farm and ranch community.

“My colleagues and I are proud to endorse Stephanie Bice to be the next Congresswoman for the fifth district. We’re disgusted by the attacks against Stephanie in this race from Never-Trumper group Club for Growth,” said Mike Schultz, farmer and former President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate.

“This same organization lobbied hard against farmers and ranchers to defeat the Farm Bill. They’re no friend to the farming and ranching community in our state and we can’t let them buy this race for Stephanie’s opponent.”

Club For Growth responds: Kevin Hern is a hypocrite

Yesterday, Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh provided the following statement in response to congressional candidate Kevin Hern’s ad attacking Club for Growth Action:

“It’s ironic that Kevin Hern is attacking Club for Growth Action for its support of Ted Cruz during the Republican presidential primary when Hern himself hired the very consulting firm that spent millions upon millions attacking Donald Trump,” stated Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh.

“This just goes to show the lengths Kevin Hern will go to as he tries to conceal the fact that he personally donated to the Democratic Senator who cast the deciding vote to pass Obamacare.   And the cherry on top of this all is that Hern begged for the Club for Growth PAC’s endorsement.  The bottom line is Kevin Hern can’t be trusted.  He’ll say anything and worse, do anything to get elected.  Oklahoma deserves better than Hern the Hypocrite.”

Hern responds to Club For Growth ads

KEVIN HERN RESPONDS TO CLUB FOR GROWTH ATTACK ADS

Club for Growth, a DC insider group, endorsed Andy Coleman. Two days after the endorsement, Club began spending over $250,000 on false and misleading ads against Kevin Hern. The Club is taking every angle to slow the Hern campaign's momentum through lies and deceit. Mr. Coleman had 2 full days to denounce these false attacks but chose not to do that. Therefore, the Hern campaign is setting the record straight by releasing an ad detailing the Club for Growth's association to Coleman and the groups distaste for President Trump. Club for Growth spent over $7 million dollars opposing Trump in the 2016 election, calling him a “terrible leader on economic growth…and the worst kind of politician who will say anything to get elected.” DC special interest groups like Club are attacking the Hern campaign because Kevin is a 100% supporter of President Trump and his agenda, and they do not want a small businessman like Kevin Hern in Congress.

The Hern campaign has pledged to run a clean campaign and have asked our competitors to do the same. We are calling on Mr. Coleman's campaign to publicly denounce the false and misleading ads from Club for Growth. We look forward to hearing from our opponent in joining this commitment. The opportunity at hand is too important to waste by wallowing in the mud and allowing outside groups to influence the people’s vote—we should demand better. The citizens of Oklahoma should determine the outcome of this election, not DC special interest groups.

Hern calls on opponents to run "clean campaign", denounce outside groups

In response to negative ads being run against him by outside groups like Club For Growth, 1st District GOP candidate Kevin Hern is calling on his primary opponents to eschew "dirty" campaigning by "DC insiders and swamp creatures":

Kevin Hern for Congress Pledges to Run Clean Campaign

TULSA, OK – Kevin Hern, candidate for Oklahoma’s Congressional District 1, pledged to run a clean campaign and called on his competitors to do the same:

“I’m offering my commitment to Congressional District 1 that I will run a clean campaign, and I challenge all of my competitors in this race to commit to do the same,” said Kevin. “As I travel throughout the district and talk to voters, I hear daily that we need change in DC. It’s abundantly clear DC insiders and swamp creatures will do anything to stop a true conservative business leader like myself from being elected, and I fully expect them to be uncomfortable with my refusal to go to Washington and conduct business as usual. But much like President Trump, I believe it’s time to shake up DC and return government back to the people where it belongs. Right now, we have a rare opportunity to do just that with a Republican-controlled House, Senate, and Presidency, but we need people in Congress who will stand with President Trump and reject special interests like Club for Growth who spent over $7 million dollars opposing Trump in the 2016 election, calling him a “terrible leader on economic growth…and the worst kind of politician who will say anything to get elected”, and With Honor who have endorsed and spent over $1 million electing liberal, anti-Trump Democrats. The citizens of Oklahoma should determine the outcome of this election, not DC special interest groups.

That’s why I’m committing to a clean campaign and asking my competitors to do the same. The opportunity at hand is too important to waste by wallowing in the mud and allowing outside groups to influence the people’s vote—we should demand better. I’m also calling on each candidate to join me in making a public commitment to denounce any negative campaigning and ensure we hold all third-party groups accountable to any messages they push. I look forward to hearing from each of my opponents in joining me in this commitment. Our district and our country will be better served if we all stand united and work towards a common goal of returning government to the people.”

Club For Growth paints Hern as "fake conservative" in CD1 race

CLUB FOR GROWTH ACTION RELEASES ADS IN OK-01

Today, Club for Growth Action announced the release of new TV, radio, and digital ads targeting fake conservative Kevin Hern, who is running for Congress in Oklahoma’s First District.  The ad buy exceeds $250,000 and includes broadcast, cable, radio, and digital ads.

“Kevin Hern is masquerading as a conservative now that he’s running for office, but for years he has supported a political action committee that funded liberal Democrats like Chuck Schumer,” stated Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh.  “In fact, he even personally donated money to the Democratic Senator that cast the deciding vote to make Obamacare the law of the land.  The bottom line is that Oklahoma voters deserve better than fake conservative Kevin Hern.”

Congressional Candidate, Businessman, and US Army Combat Veteran Jarrin Jackson to Continue his 26 County "Let’s Talk” Town Hall Series

Republican Jarrin Jackson continues his 26-County tour through Eastern Oklahoma’s 2nd District with his “Let’s Talk” Town Halls taking place in 5 more locations this Saturday, March 3, 2018.

Jarrin Jackson states, “I am taking the time to visit with Oklahoma's District 2 voters face to face. Voters should expect their Representative to look them in the eye and have a real back and forth dialogue that is not scripted or screened, to truly hold their Congressman accountable. I am committed to be accountable to the people I will represent, and these meetings allow voters to give clear directives on the important priorities to be addressed. I am hearing loud and clear President Trump’s agenda should be delivered. Eastern Oklahoma deserves to have a Congressman who truly takes their needs and priorities to Washington, not a Congressman that hides behind phone call screeners because he is on the payroll of special interest to bring Washington Swamp talking points and bureaucracy to Oklahoma.”

Jarrin Jackson is already endorsed by former US Senator, Dr. Tom Coburn.

In a recent statement, Dr. Coburn said he is backing Jarrin Jackson’s candidacy because, “Who we send to Congress is really important. Jarrin Jackson has shown his character by already doing a tremendous amount in service to our country. He is a combat veteran, a West Point graduate, a leader…Jarrin Jackson has virtue - and has shown from his service in the military, serving veterans and working in his community, and growing his restaurant franchise business - he holds himself to a high standard and commitment to doing what is right for our communities, for our state, and for our nation.  Jarrin Jackson is a patriot and a warrior, and is not going to abuse your trust. Because he has virtue.”

A graduate of West Point, Jarrin Jackson is a decorated combat veteran who served as a Captain in the US Army in Afghanistan. After over a decade of military service, Jarrin Jackson has gone on to success in the private sector -  owning and operating franchise restaurants, and also works to find jobs for transitioning active duty members to secure their first civilian job as they reintegrate into private sector. Jarrin is married to Dr. Katie Jackson, and they live in Rogers County with their two children. The Republican primary election for Congress is June 26th.

The incumbent Congressman Mullin is also currently being outed as a pro-pork politician in ads by the fiscally conservative Club for Growth, highlighting Mullin's support of bringing back earmarks just as our nation is working to pay off the current crippling debt, and going back on his promise to serve three terms to avoid being a career politician.

Club for Growth comments on Trump, House GOP interest in bringing back earmarks

Washington, DC – Today, Club for Growth President David McIntosh offered the following statement upon news of House Republicans’ interest in bringing back earmarks:

“If Republicans bring back earmarks, then it virtually guarantees that they will lose the House, stated Club for Growth President David McIntosh.

“Bringing back earmarks is the antithesis of draining the swamp.  Earmarks will only benefit the special interests that grow government at the expense of working men and women.”

Club for Growth to run anti-Trump ads in Oklahoma

Club For Growth Action is starting to run $1M worth of ads in Arkansas and Oklahoma attacking Donald Trump's liberal record.

While most of the Republican candidates and super PACs have been focused on attacking everyone not named "Donald Trump", Club For Growth has done yeoman's work exposing Trump for the liberal he really is. Their ad campaigns in Iowa and South Carolina cut Trump's poll numbers when little else would.

The most recent polling in Oklahoma had Trump with a narrow five-point lead over Ted Cruz, and in the most recent Arkansas poll Trump trailed Cruz by four points.
