Bice tops Horn's single-quarter fundraising record, leads in new CD5 poll

In some great news for the OKGOP, 5th District nominee Stephanie Bice outraised incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Kendra Horn in the last quarter, and a new poll has Bice leading Horn in the GOP effort to retake the 5th District.

A survey released by the firm Pat McFerron and Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates has Bice at 49% and Horn at 45%. Of interest, President Trump leads the Presidential ballot in CD5 with 49%, Biden at 43%, Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen at 3%, and independent Kanye West at 1%. You can read more details on the poll here.

Here's the fundraising press release from Bice's campaign:

Stephanie Bice Bests Horn’s Fundraising Record, Raising $1.5 million in Q3 from more than 12,000 Donors

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 6, 2020)  - Yesterday, Democratic incumbent Congresswoman Kendra Horn announced her third quarter fundraising totals, which she claimed all-time records for “dollars raised” in a single-quarter and total number of donors from Oklahoma during a campaign.

This morning, Stephanie Bice, Republican nominee for Oklahoma’s fifth congressional district, released her third quarter fundraising numbers that exceed the totals touted by Horn.

In the third quarter, Bice raised more than $1.5 million, even though she did not become the nominee until August 25th.

Bice has also apparently bested Horn’s “record” of in-state donors, with more than 5,800 donors from the state of Oklahoma.

“I’m grateful for the support of so many Oklahomans, who like me, are tired of Washington’s inability to get things done,” Bice said. “I’m going to Congress to do what I’ve done in the Senate, work to solve the big intractable problems, not just to take orders from Nancy Pelosi.”

Congressional District 5 is ranked as one of the top take back opportunities for Republicans in the nation, according to Washington Post.
