Cornett releases new TV commercial

Cornett Campaign Launches New Commercial
“Get Started” highlights results over rhetoric

OKLAHOMA CITY – Mick Cornett’s campaign for governor on Monday released a new campaign advertisement titled “Get Started” highlighting the results of Mick Cornett’s leadership in Oklahoma City contrasted with the politics-as-usual rhetoric of state government.

“In our next governor, Oklahomans are looking for leadership to get things done,” Cornett said. “Year after year at the State Capitol, politicians say plenty of the right things, but the results are never as great as the rhetoric. In Oklahoma City, our leadership has led to the proliferation of the city and a rising quality of life in the entire area. It’s time to end the rhetoric and Get Started.”

The language in the commercial reads:
Has our state government ever been more of a mess? Enough talk.  Let’s start doing something. Put our conservative principles to work. As a mayor, we balanced 14 straight budgets, creating 100,000 new jobs, 10,000 new businesses. We can fund a teacher pay raise, balance our budget, and fix the mess at the Capitol. Let’s solve our problems and grow our economy. Results.  Not Rhetoric.  Let’s get started.
