Dusty Deevers receives impressive conservative endorsements in SD32 special election

Pastor Dusty Deevers, GOP candidate in the Senate District 32 special election, has received several impressive endorsements from conservative Oklahoma and national groups.

The winner-take-all primary election for this Lawton-area seat will be October 10th, with the general election on December 12th. As I said previously, Dusty is an articulate communicator, tenaciously committed to principles that are fundamentally grounded on God's Word. He'll be a fierce advocate for conservatism, and will be a senator who can effectively resist the "Swamp" at the State Capitol. If you live in Senate District 32, I encourage you to vote for Dusty Deevers on October 10th!

Gun Owners of America endorses Steven McGowen in HD1

Steven McGowen, Candidate for State Representative, Earns Gun Owners of America Endorsement And NRA 'AQ' Rating

(Idabel, OK, 10/19/2016) -- Steven McGowen, candidate for Oklahoma’s House of Representatives, has earned the endorsement of Gun Owners of America, a national gun rights group committed to defeating restrictive gun legislation and politicians who are working to disarm the population. Gun Owners of America endorses the pro-gun candidate in a race who agrees that the 2nd Amendment truly is a right that ‘shall not be infringed’ – exactly as the Constitution intends. In addition, McGowen was awarded the 'AQ' pro-gun rights rating from the NRA.

Steven McGowen is pleased to be chosen to receive the Gun Owners of America endorsement, outperforming the incumbent Democrat legislator, Johnny Tadlock.

McGowen notes, “I’m not just a gun advocate on paper; I understand the inherent right in our U.S. Constitution that the right to Keep and Bear Arms should not be restricted. When I served in the military, I fought to uphold our Constitution. You can depend on me to continue that fight as your Representative in the State Legislature, to make sure that that right, and every right guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, is upheld and protected.”

Steven McGowen, son of Earl and Sue McGowen, was raised in McCurtain County, where his great, great grandfather’s family settled as sharecroppers just after the Civil War. McGowen is a veteran of both the U.S. Army and then service in the National Guard, a former law enforcement officer, and currently a healthcare professional at the local McCurtain County hospital in Idabel. McGowen runs a cow/calf ranch in Garvin with his father.

Faught endorsed by Gun Owners of America

Gun Owners of America Endorses Faught

Muskogee, OK – Gun Owners of America, an influential national gun-rights group has announced their endorsement of George Faught in his race for Congress in Oklahoma's 2nd Congressional District.
The organization issued a statement saying they were proud to endorse the Oklahoma State Representative and touted his experience of standing up for gun owner rights in the state legislature as their basis for endorsing him in his primary for the GOP nomination on June 26th.

Gun Owners of America Vice Chairman Tim Macy said in an email to members, “Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund is proud to endorse George Faught in the Republican primary in Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District.

George is a pro-gun leader who backs up his words with actions. He completed the GOA questionnaire 100% in favor of your gun rights, and he compiled a perfect voting record as a state legislator.

A lifelong resident of Muskogee and small business owner, George is not a career politician; he’s a true citizen-legislator who will stand up for your Second Amendment rights.  I urge all defenders of the Second Amendment to vote for George Faught for Congress in the June 26th Republican primary.”

"I am honored to have received the endorsement of Gun Owners of America," Faught said.  "GOA is committed to protecting our second amendment rights guaranteed us in the Constitution. I will continue to be a steadfast supporter of gun owners and it is humbling to have such a respected group join the growing list of those who are supporting my candidacy."

Faught has also been previously endorsed by the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association  and was given their “Patriot of the 2nd Amendment” award in 2011.

Reps. John Sullivan (OK-1) and Tom Cole (OK-4) got an A - meaning "philosophically sound" and a "Pro-Gun Voter". Rep. Frank Lucas also received an A, while his Democrat opponent, Frankie Robbins, got a D- (Leans Anti-Gun: Usually against us).

Dear Friend of the Second Amendment,

Gun Owners of America would like to invite you to join us in Tulsa for a dinner and award presentation to the U.S. Senate’s leading Second Amendment defender.

On August 14, 2009, Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn will receive a “Friend of the Second Amendment Award” in appreciation for the tremendous amount of work that he has done to defend our Constitutional liberties.

Along with receiving this prestigious award, Senator Coburn will speak about what is going on in Congress concerning your gun rights, and what gun owners can expect in the coming months from the Obama Administration and the anti-gun congressional leadership.

Senator Coburn is the most effective pro-gun leader in the Senate, standing up for the rights of gun owners across the United States. This year Senator Coburn led, and won, the fight to repeal the National Parks Service gun ban. Senator Coburn believes, like you do, that Americans should not be forced to sacrifice their Second Amendment rights when entering National Parks.

Senator Coburn is also on the front line of other battles in Congress, including efforts to protect the Second Amendment rights of veterans, repeal the gun ban in the District of Columbia, and to block anti-gun bills like a new semi-auto ban and legislation that would close down gun shows.

Senator Coburn has earned the “Friend of the Second Amendment Award” for his leadership in the Senate and for his willingness to stand up against those who work to take away our Constitutional freedoms.

In addition to Senator Coburn’s address to gun owners, you will enjoy a fabulous meal, entertainment, and many raffle items — including several firearms, free range time, a Life Membership to Gun Owners of America, and more.

You will not want to miss this exciting opportunity to hear Senator Coburn’s insights into what is happening behind the scenes in Congress, while at the same time supporting Gun Owners of America —“the only no compromise gun lobby in Washington.”

At a time when strong conservative leadership is scarce, it is crucial to show our support of those who are protecting our right to keep and bear arms. We hope to see you in Tulsa.

Sincerely,

Tim Macy
Vice Chairman
