NRA endorses Bice in 5th District GOP primary
Stephanie Bice Earns Only NRA Endorsement in OK-05 Congressional Race
OKLAHOMA CITY (June 4, 2020) - Stephanie Bice, conservative Republican candidate in Oklahoma’s 5thCongressional District, today announced that she is the only CD5 candidate that has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association.
Bice credited her conservative voting record and efforts to preserve Second Amendment rights in the Oklahoma State Senate with helping her earn the endorsement.
“I’m honored to be the only candidate in this race to receive the endorsement of the NRA and the only one with a proven voting record of supporting the Second Amendment,” Bice said. “In my time in the Senate, I have always stood with law-abiding gun owners, and I will continue to do so in Congress.”
Founded in 1871, the NRA is more than an association of hunters and sports shooters. It is the oldest civil rights organization in America, founded to preserve and protect our rights under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Adios: Beto won't be coming for your guns or church after all
Robert Francis O'Rourke, failed 2018 candidate for U.S. Senate, has ended his bid for the White House after languishing for months in the bottom tier of the 30+ Democratic presidential candidates.
This means he won't be coming for your guns:
And he won't be coming after your church, either:

NRA welcomes Oklahoma as newest constitutional carry state
FAIRFAX, Va.– The National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) welcomes Oklahoma as the newest constitutional carry state. Constitutional carry, now the law in 16 states across the country, allows law-abiding citizens to carry concealed firearms without first getting government permission to do.
The NRA-backed law, which takes effect Friday, Nov. 1, fully recognizes the constitutional right of law-abiding gun owners to carry a firearm openly or concealed without a permit.
“Government exists for the people, not the other way around. This law honors the right of law-abiding Oklahomans to defend themselves and their loved ones without begging for the government’s permission beforehand," said Jason Ouimet, executive director, NRA-ILA. "The NRA fights for law-abiding gun owners because we recognize that our freedoms are fundamental and natural, not government-given."
For nearly 10 years, the NRA has worked closely with the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association to make constitutional carry a reality in Oklahoma.
“After 112 years, constitutional carry returns the fundamental right to self-defense to every law-abiding Oklahoman,” said Don Spencer, president, Oklahoma Second Amendment Association. “By eliminating financial barriers imposed by government permitting schemes, constitutional carry ensures that law-abiding, but economically disadvantaged Oklahomans can always protect themselves in times of crisis.”
H.B. 2597 passed both chambers with broad bi-partisan support (House vote 70-30 , Senate vote 40-6).
This law does not change prohibited person laws or any law governing the misuse of a firearm, prohibited places where a firearm cannot be carried, or when force may be used in defense of self or others.
Sixteen states – Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Kentucky – allow law-abiding individuals to carry a concealed handgun without a government-issued permit. (Montana allows Permitless Carry for all areas outside city limits – 99.4% of the state.)

NRA, OK2A endorse Jim Olsen in OK House District 2
NRA and Oklahoma Second Amendment Association Endorse Candidate Jim Olsen as the Gun Rights Advocate for Oklahoma State Rep, District 2
Roland, OK— Both of the pre-eminent gun rights advocacy organizations in the nation published their findings that Republican Jim Olsen is the gun rights advocate on the November 6 ballot for the open Oklahoma State House District 2 seat. In spite of the recent attempt by Democrat nominee Stites to mask his agenda with an offer of a gun shooting show, the NRA released a big question mark on how Stites would actually vote if he was given the opportunity in the state legislature to uphold or deny our constitutional right. The ‘?’ rating is defined by the NRA on the www.nrapvf.org website: “A rating of ‘?’ often indicates indifference, if not outright hostility, to gun owners' and sportsmen's rights.”
Oklahoma Second Amendment Association issued a less than impressive ‘C’ rating to the Democrat nominee Stites. Don Spencer, President of the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association said, “Mr. Stites received a ‘C’ rating from his OK2A Candidate Survey while Mr. Jim Olsen received an ‘A’ and our endorsement. Jim Olsen was an easy endorsement to make. The survey is not based on how many guns a candidate has, or how good a marksman, but on whether they will defend liberty.”
While Olsen could have shown his own Oklahoma handgun license, guns, and shooting skills in response to the recent comical effort by Mr. Stites, Jim Olsen recognizes that the freedom and liberty to exercise the 2nd Amendment is a serious issue. Olsen instead followed the appropriate action of sharing his beliefs and awaiting leading experts in Constitutional gun rights advocacy to review the qualifications and convictions of the two candidates to determine who would better champion the Constitutional rights of the people to “keep and bear arms.”
Jim Olsen is thankful for the thorough review, and the endorsements and top grades awarded to him by both the NRA and OK2A. “I firmly believe the creation of the Second Amendment was clear and I will follow the path the Founders intended: the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Just as with all constitutional rights, my constituents can be assured that I will champion the Second Amendment in my legislative actions,” Olsen said.
The general election for the open Oklahoma State House District 2 seat will be held on November 6, 2018.

Gun Owners of America endorses Steven McGowen in HD1
Steven McGowen, Candidate for State Representative, Earns Gun Owners of America Endorsement And NRA 'AQ' Rating
(Idabel, OK, 10/19/2016) -- Steven McGowen, candidate for Oklahoma’s House of Representatives, has earned the endorsement of Gun Owners of America, a national gun rights group committed to defeating restrictive gun legislation and politicians who are working to disarm the population. Gun Owners of America endorses the pro-gun candidate in a race who agrees that the 2nd Amendment truly is a right that ‘shall not be infringed’ – exactly as the Constitution intends. In addition, McGowen was awarded the 'AQ' pro-gun rights rating from the NRA.
Steven McGowen is pleased to be chosen to receive the Gun Owners of America endorsement, outperforming the incumbent Democrat legislator, Johnny Tadlock.
McGowen notes, “I’m not just a gun advocate on paper; I understand the inherent right in our U.S. Constitution that the right to Keep and Bear Arms should not be restricted. When I served in the military, I fought to uphold our Constitution. You can depend on me to continue that fight as your Representative in the State Legislature, to make sure that that right, and every right guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, is upheld and protected.”
Steven McGowen, son of Earl and Sue McGowen, was raised in McCurtain County, where his great, great grandfather’s family settled as sharecroppers just after the Civil War. McGowen is a veteran of both the U.S. Army and then service in the National Guard, a former law enforcement officer, and currently a healthcare professional at the local McCurtain County hospital in Idabel. McGowen runs a cow/calf ranch in Garvin with his father.

OK2A reviews Tadlock's gun record after claim
Oklahoma Second Amendment Association Completes Review of Voting Record,
After Claim by State Representative Johnny Tadlock
A Note from Don Spencer, President of the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association:
Oklahoma Second Amendment Association has received multiple requests recently to review the voting record of State Representative Johnny Tadlock (D-Idabel), due to his public proclamation and campaign talking points such as the one Rep. Tadlock published on his facebook page: “Next we can talk about the Second Amendment… there is not another legislator that defends those rights anymore than I do…and my record is clear on that as well…”
The following is detail of our findings:
State Representative Johnny Tadlock (D-Idabel) Gun Voting Record
Oklahoma Second Amendment Association Finding: Upon review the voting record of State Rep. Johnny Tadlock (D-Idabel) in correlation with all other members of the State Legislature, there are 68 members in the State House with higher gun advocacy voting records in the 2016 session than State Representative Tadlock, and 12 of those are democrats.
While Representative Tadlock has an” A-“ voting record with the NRA, there are 9 Oklahoma state legislators with an “A+”; not to mention numerous additional legislators that earned an “A” rating.
State Rep. Johnny Tadlock earned a “C” for his voting record with the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association for the last session. Both NRA and Oklahoma Second Amendment Association scores are important to consider in determining who is truly a gun advocate. OK2A has an invested state interest because our grades are based on the actions of lawmakers that affect Oklahoman's ability to exercise our gun rights within our state. The NRA’s home is 1,300 miles away, and it does not generally grade on private property rights related to firearms like OK2A does.
At the request of OK2A, there were 32 bills introduced for 2016 and we have a strong working relationship with the NRA, and often work together to protect and defend Second Amendment rights. OK2A has a daily presence at the state capitol during session.
This summary is based on voting facts and personal interaction with State Representative Tadlock:
On September 23, 2016, I sent an email to Representative Tadlock containing an OK2A survey for consideration of endorsement that we have all legislators fill out that do not have an established “A” voting record with OK2A or have had a weak voting record that wish to put in writing their desire to protect the Second Amendment and private property rights.
Representative Tadlock did return an email stating his voting record is clear and did not fill out the standard survey. He also stated in the email “Search and seizure laws should apply to any law enforcement agencies.” This statement is from a question in the survey which reads:
“Will you support legislation requiring Game Wardens to follow the same legal procedures for entering private property as all other law enforcement must follow by requiring more than the mere discharge of a firearm before entering private property without permission or a warrant in areas where the discharge of a firearm is a legal act? (Witnessing a violation of game laws and/or regulations, etc., would constitute probable cause and would mean they had more than just the discharge of the firearm.)
The responses available are Yes, No, or I am unsure.
Again, State Representative Tadlock refused to answer the survey and let his voting record speak for him.
State Representative Johnny Tadlock’s voting record is this:
HB2859 by Roberts of the House (At the request of OK2A) was a bill to protect property owners by adding the language to the statue “A game warden shall not enter a private property for the purpose of enforcing wildlife conservation laws, based solely on the discharge of a firearm.”
With the growing problem of Game Wardens entering, crossing private property, removing persons from vehicles, taking away their legally carried firearms because the GW claims to hear a gun shot. Persons being harassed for target shooting, predator or varmint and feral hog shooting again on their own private property where the discharge of a firearm is legal. Any other Law Enforcement agency is required to have a warrant or probable cause or the property owner’s permission is required to legally enter.
On February 18, 2016, Representative Tadlock voted against the bill and against OK2A to protect private property and Second Amendment rights and defeated it. This encouraged Game Wardens to continue this bully effort and ignore a citizens 2nd and 4th Amendment Rights.
SB1142 by Senator Dahm (At the request of OK2A). This bill dealt with feral hogs. The destruction especially to private property because of feral hogs is approaching a billion dollar a year problem. The bill was named the “300 pound rat bill” because it allowed the private property owner to kill feral hogs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without requiring a license, tags and would be able to use night vision equipment. There were 6 amendments added to the bill (None by Tadlock). Representative Tadlock voted against OK2A or did not vote at all on the amendments while he was present at his desk in the House Chamber. I witnessed this from the gallery. After Representative Roberts defeated the six bad amendments that were an attempt to kill or gut the bill, then Representative Tadlock voted for the bill and the bill passed. The bill was vetoed by the Governor.
SB1057 Fry/Calvey (Introduced at the request of OK2A) March 28th, 2016 This was signed into law and goes into effect Nov 1, 2016. The bill decriminalizes handgun carry into certain public areas. Clarifies immunity for municipalities where citizens carry. Clarifies and strengthens the Business Owners rights for employee carry. Clarified public owned venues for professional sporting events. Clarified carry for areas where gambling was allowed. Clarified parking lots. Clarified Event Holder could NOT ban guns on public property.
Representative Tadlock was the only NO vote in Public Safety Committee. Even after extensive discussion and advised it was an OK2A and NRA graded vote.
HJR1009 Introduced at the request of OK2A. The premiere bill on the right to keep and bear arms that would update over a century old language to read,” The right of a citizen to keep and bear arms …shall not be infringed.” It would also require the courts observe the state constitution would be subject to strict scrutiny. In 1929 the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeal ruled that the ownership of a pistol could be outlawed by the state legislature. Representative Tadlock was asked, emailed several times by myself to coauthor the bill. 3 other democrats and over 30 republicans coauthored the bill. He refused
Again, if State Representative Tadlock had truly defended gun and property rights to the degree he stated, he would have received an award from OK2A and been recognized for his accomplishments.
Tadlock's record stands in stark contrast to State Senator Joseph Silk (R-Broken Bow), who resides in the same county as State Representative Tadlock.
Senator Joseph Silk is endorsed by the NRA, earned an A+ by the NRA, and is receiving the Oklahoma Second Association Minuteman Award - the highest award given by our association, for his accomplishments in protecting gun and property rights. The bills stated above had active involvement by Senator Silk in assisting with passage throughout the process. Senator Silk is the example that all of our state legislators should follow, of truly advocating and delivering results in ensuring our 2nd Amendment and property rights are protected in our state, and our nation.
These are the facts about Representative Tadlock’s voting record and desire to protect your Second Amendment and private property rights.

NRA endorses State Sen. Larry Boggs for re-election
NRA Endorses Sen. Larry Boggs in District 7 race
September 30, 2016 -- Sen. Larry Boggs (R-Wilburton) is proud to announce the endorsement of the National Rifle Association in his District 7 re-election campaign. The NRA gives Boggs an A rating for his pro-Second Amendment voting record.
According to the NRA, Senator Boggs is a "solidly pro-gun candidate."
The NRA says an A rating means Boggs is "a candidate who has supported NRA positions on key votes in elective office or a candidate with a demonstrated record of support on key issues."
Boggs co-authored a gun rights bill, SB-2614, which was signed into law by Governor Fallin in 2014.
Larry Boggs is a lifetime member of the NRA and believes this endorsement will have a strong influence on voters in November. The Democrat challenging Boggs refused to return the NRA questionnaire which the NRA considers "an indication of indifference, if not outright hostility, to gun owners' and sportsmen's rights."
"I will always support and defend the Second Amendment," says Sen. Boggs. "It's a right that voters in Southeastern Oklahoma take very seriously so I consider the endorsement of the NRA an honor. It lets voters know I will always be a vigilant leader when it comes to defending our constitutional rights."
Larry Boggs is a lifelong resident of Southeastern Oklahoma, successful business owner and rancher. For details on his plans for Oklahoma visit www.BoggsForSenate.com.

NRA endorses State Sen. Joseph Silk for re-election
State Senator Joseph Silk Earns NRA Endorsement & Top A+ Rating
Just 9 lawmakers received the highest A+ Rating from a field of over 130 races and over 200 candidates graded by the NRA this cycle within the state of Oklahoma. Senator Silk is currently running for re-election to State Senate District 5, representing McCurtain, Leflore, Pushmataha, Choctaw and part of Atoka Counties.
According to the NRA, the A+ Rating is reserved to award only legislators who “not only have an excellent voting record on all critical NRA issues, but who have also made a vigorous effort to support and defend the Second Amendment.”
Silk was a Senate author of HB2637, known as the Hunting Freedom Act, signed into law this year by Governor Fallin.
Senator Silk is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment Right to “Keep and Bear Arms” – citing it as a fundamental right of Americans to be secure in our freedom. “When we cannot defend ourselves, we are no longer a free people,” he said. “I will stand tirelessly against those that seek to limit our access to that right, and will work to uphold and defend all of our freedoms defined in the U.S. Constitution.
To contact State Senator Silk, or to find out more about his campaign or service as our state senator, please visit his Facebook page.
Blogger's note: reelecting Sen. Silk is of utmost importance for Oklahoma conservatives and especially pro-life activists. He is the most conservative freshman in the State Senate and has taken very bold stands on ending abortion and protecting our rights.

NRA disappointed in Fallin veto of pro-gun bill
Despite public support and strong bipartisan votes in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and Senate, Governor Mary Fallin vetoed pro-gun Senate Bill 41 yesterday. The Governor caved to pressure from the Oklahoma City Chamber, which disseminated misinformation based on a flawed legal analysis. The NRA is extremely disappointed that this common sense legislation was put on the back burner in favor of drummed up fears by the Chamber.
SB 41 sought to clarify that public property (open spaces such as streets and parks) remains open to law-abiding Oklahomans with a carry permit even if that public land is currently being used for another purpose by a private entity renting the space for an event. This legislation would have provided for a necessary fix to a loophole in Oklahoma’s state firearm preemption statute. This loophole has been exploited by misguided municipalities, resulting in a ban on law-abiding citizens carrying a firearm on open areas of public land where they have a legal right to be. Senate Bill 41 passed the House by an 88 to 4 vote and the Senate by a 39 to 7 vote.
Current abuses pose a significant problem for lawful carry permit holders by creating an ever-changing patchwork of laws throughout the state with regard to firearms prohibitions on public land within a particular locality. This legislation focused on reaffirming the right of a peaceful law-abiding Oklahoman to exercise his or her basic right of self-defense where they are already legally allowed to be, no matter which private entity is leasing public land at the moment. It did not seek to expand carry into public buildings or structures.
Please contact Senate and House leadership immediately and encourage an override of the Governor’s veto and their support for restoring the provisions in SB 41 this session. Time is running out and session is drawing to a close, so your action is needed immediately!
Please also contact Governor Mary Fallin and voice your disappointment in her veto of a pro-gun, self-defense bill that would have made Oklahomans safer. Contact information for Governor Mary Fallin is provided below:

NRA, OK2A react to Fallin's veto
Following Gov. Mary Fallin's veto spree yesterday, which included 2nd Amendment-friendly legislation, pro-gun groups have issued strong responses.
From the NRA-ILA:
Today, in a surprising move, Governor Mary Fallin (R) vetoed high-priority NRA-supported legislation, House Bill 2461. As previously reported, HB 2461 was sent to Governor Fallin for her signature following nearly unanimous passage in the Oklahoma Legislature. HB 2461 passed unanimously in the Senate and passed in the House by a 92 to 1 vote.
Authored in the House by state Representative Mike Turner (R-82) and in the Senate by state Senator Nathan Dahm (R-33), HB 2461 would require that a chief law enforcement officer (CLEO) sign an application for the transfer of any item regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA) within fifteen days if the applicant is not prohibited by law from receiving it.
This important policy improvement would prevent an arbitrary personal bias from determining Oklahoma firearm policy and ensure that qualified, law-abiding Oklahomans will not be denied their ability to legally possess and own NFA items. The reforms in HB 2461 benefit law-abiding Oklahoma Second Amendment supporters by ensuring that the process to obtain NFA items already legal in Oklahoma remains consistent, fact-based and objective.
Despite today's veto, the NRA will be working tirelessly to ensure passage and enactment of this legislation this year. It is critical that you call your state Representative and Senator and respectfully urge them to work with the NRA to ensure this widely supported important policy improvement does not fall victim to political games. Contact information for your state Representative can be found here. Contact information for your state Senator can be found here. Please thank the bill sponsors for their continued dedication to the enactment of this measure this session.
Also, please call Governor Mary Fallin and send her a clear message that Second Amendment supporters in Oklahoma support this measure and demand enactment of this protection.

From OK2A's president, Tim Gillespie:
What is the definition of stupid? When a governor of a conservative state vetoes two Second Amendment bills on an election year while facing a conservative democrat. That’s the definition of stupid and that’s exactly what Mary Fallin did Tuesday. To some my use of the word stupid might seem harsh or disrespectful. How else would you describe the Governor’s actions today? Misguided? Misinformed? Not well thought out? With all due respect, I think I’ll stick with stupid.
Our Vice President and I both spoke with the Governor’s staff on Tuesday and both conversations lead me to question the Governor’s judgment and that of her staff. I spoke with them about the knife preemption bill, that would bring knives under the state preemption law for firearms (the idea being that no town could have stricter knife or gun laws than the state so a person isn’t in jeopardy of unknowingly breaking a law as they travel between towns). The argument presented was that they didn’t want to muddy the waters on firearms law by including knives – that firearms law is a Second Amendment issue but knife laws aren’t. First, several attorneys were involved in the process of crafting this bill and none of them seemed to have a problem including knives under firearms preemption laws. Second, do we need to have a lesson on the meaning of the word arms? If all a person has to protect themselves with is a club, then government shouldn’t infringe on that person’s ability to keep or carry that club.
Our Vice President’s conversation with the Governor’s staff centered around the NFA shall issue bill. This bill would require chief law enforcement officers (Sheriffs) to perform background checks on NFA applications for full-autos, silencers, etc. This is in response to the President’s illegal rewriting of federal law concerning procedures for acquiring these items. Their reason for vetoing this bill? The state cannot regulate a federal agency. Huh? Tell me how this bill regulates a federal agency. It regulates Chief LEO’s in Oklahoma. The reality is by vetoing this bill, Governor Fallin has given the President exactly what he wants. Veto override efforts for these bills and the others the Governor vetoed on Tuesday will likely begin shortly.
The reasoning, or lack thereof, for the vetoes of these bills leads me to wonder if the Governor and her staff didn’t just use a good old fashioned game of eenie meenie miney mo to pick which bills she would veto. These are ridiculous reasons and they are nothing but a smokescreen. The real reason, and they aren’t even ashamed to admit this, is because the Governor isn’t happy with the House leadership’s priorities. They won’t allow her to take the state further into debt to fund her pet projects. In other words, they won’t give her what she want so she’s taking her ball and going home. What is this, a middle school playground? Tantrums are unbecoming for a person in Mary Fallin’s position!
So, let’s recap. Our Governor is proud of her efforts to play politics with one of the most basic and fundamental rights of mankind, the right to defend oneself. Our Governor, who claims to be pro-gun is more than willing to compromise the rights and freedoms of gun owners to make a political point. Wonderful. Perhaps instead of posting snarky comments on Facebook about and to legislators, the Governor’s staff should actually give her some good advice. Perhaps they should remind her that she does have a viable, conservative Democrat with a solid pro-gun record to contend with in the campaign. Perhaps they should remind her that this is a conservative, reddest of red, gun-loving state. Or, perhaps the Governor should just fire them for giving her terrible advice and then apologize to the people of Oklahoma for playing politics with their right to keep and bear arms. If she doesn’t, the people just might fire her in November.

NRA Endorses Fallin for Governor
The National Rifle Association has endorsed Congresswoman Mary Fallin for Governor.
Click here to find out more about Mary Fallin and her campaign for Governor.
NRA-PVF Endorses Mary Fallin for Governor of Oklahoma
Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Mary Fallin for Oklahoma Governor this November.
“The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund supports Mary Fallin because she is a champion and staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding Oklahoma gun owners,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. “As a Congresswoman, Mary has worked to preserve and protect our gun rights, and I know she is committed to continuing this work as governor.”
During her time in Congress, Mary Fallin has supported many pro-gun efforts, including signing pro-gun congressional “friend of the court” briefs in both the Heller and McDonald cases, stating that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental, individual right that protects all Americans. Fallin opposes any effort to reenact the Clinton semi-auto ban. She voted in favor of allowing law-abiding citizens to carry in national parks and wildlife refuges and voted to protect access to federally-owned or administered lands for hunting, fishing, trapping and recreational shooting.
Fallin’s voting record in Congress and her support for the Second Amendment have earned her an “A” rating and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.
“On November 2nd, I urge all Oklahoma NRA members, hunters and gun owners to vote Mary Fallin for Governor,” Cox concluded.
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. Four million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.

Erickson: NRA Now Leans Toward Endorsing Harry Reid
From Erick Erickson at RedState.com:
This would be terribly disappointing if true.
Multiple sources tell me the National Rifle Association is planning to endorse liberal Harry Reid against pro-gun champion Sharron Angle.
Two weeks ago, I told you about the carveout the NRA received in exchange for their support for the DISCLOSE ACT deal.
Then this week, RedState broke the story of the “gag order” the NRA issued to members of its Board on the Kagan nomination.
Now, I’m getting credible reports that the NRA is leaning toward endorsing Harry Reid, even though the NRA is finally saying it will score a vote on Kagan — something that was not a sure thing.
Why would they do this? Why would they go out of their way to protect a Senator who has demonstrated a repeated hostility to the Second Amendment in his votes and his leadership?
Well, I thought perhaps the NRA carveout in the DISCLOSE Act might be the answer. But, there is more. It turns out, Reid secured a $61 million earmark for a gun range in Clark County, Nevada.

This would be terribly disappointing if true.

NRA-PVF Issues Endorsement Statement

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund, the endorsing arm of the organization, issued the following statement today.
Rumor Control:
NRA-PVF Has Not Issued Any Endorsement in the Race for Attorney General!
Recently, it was erroneously reported on an Oklahoma City political news program that the NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) had issued an endorsement in the race for Attorney General for the July primary election. This report is untrue and has caused no small amount of confusion among NRA members and political candidates, alike.
Please note that NRA-PVF has made NO endorsement in this or any other race as of today, Tuesday, February 23. The false statement was made by a third party and not by any of the candidates for Attorney General.
Please continue checking your email and www.NRAPVF.org for candidate grades and endorsements.
I have not been able to locate where it was stated that the NRA-PVF had endorsed a candidate, neither have I found out which candidate was rumored to have been the recipient.
