Lt. Gov. Pinnell hosting Oklahoma workforce tour


LT. GOVERNOR PINNELL HOSTING OKLAHOMA WORKFORCE TOUR

OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 12th) — Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell is kickstarting a workforce development tour later this month. He will travel to communities around the state, meeting with business and community leaders to find solutions to the workforce issues they face. For the first leg of the tour, Lt. Governor Pinnell will visit Bartlesville, Lawton, Durant, Clinton, Guymon, and McAlester.

“As I visit with business owners across the state, there is one consistent theme they share with me: finding available and qualified workforce.,” said Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell. “From childcare services to education to housing, there are many facets to the workforce challenges our communities face. I look forward to working with these leaders to find feasible and effective solutions.”

The dates for the spring leg of the tour are:

  • February 21, 2024 – Bartlesville
  • March 4, 2024 – Lawton
  • March 26, 2024 – Durant
  • April 30, 2024 – Clinton
  • May 6, 2024 – Guymon
  • May 16, 2024 – McAlester

Lt. Governor Pinnell serves as Oklahoma’s Secretary of Workforce & Economic Development and works closely with agencies like the Department of Commerce and Oklahoma Employment Security Commission to strengthen the state’s workforce development pipeline.
