Dr. Randy Grellner announces run for Senate District 21

“Our community deserves an honest and conservative leader.”

STILLWATER, OK (December 13, 2023) – Dr. Randy Grellner, a prominent physician from Cushing, has announced his candidacy for Oklahoma Senate District 21. Dr. Grellner is a constitutional conservative Republican campaigning to replace Sen. Tom Dugger who announced his retirement in September.

“My priorities in the State Senate will reflect the priorities of our community,” Dr. Randy Grellner says.  “Tom Dugger served our district well and I plan to build upon the great work he started. The voters of SD-21 want economic opportunity by expanding fossil fuel exploration, they want an end to political corruption, and they want the values of our community taught in our public schools. As a medical doctor, I plan to do at the State Capitol what I’ve done my entire career -- make an accurate diagnosis of the problem and prescribe a cure.”

Dr. Grellner began practicing medicine 22 years ago in Cushing where he still serves the region today. He opened the Cushing Urgent Care facility in 2014 to meet the medical needs of the area’s oil and gas workers. Dr. Grellner serves on the Oklahoma State Board of Health thanks to the recommendation of Sen. Tom Dugger.

Dr. Grellner also served as the Vice-President of the Cushing Public School Board from 2013 to 2019 where he fought valiantly to fend off leftist indoctrination in the classroom.

“I will be a stalwart against Critical Race Theory and any other curriculum where the goal is to pit Oklahomans against one another,” says Dr. Grellner. “My goal is to protect and promote the people of our community for generations to come. I have been blessed with an abundance of friends and I am dedicated to personally investing what it takes to represent my neighbors in the Oklahoma Senate. Our community deserves an honest and conservative leader. That’s what I will deliver.”

Dr. Randy Grellner is 58 years old and graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He and his wife, Shelley, have been married for 33 years. They have two grown children who are married and enjoying their careers.
