Norwood endorsed in HD74 GOP primary by 100+ Christian leaders

This Tuesday includes elections in three state legislative seats - House Districts 71 and 74 and Senate District 8. Below is an announcement from HD74 Republican candidate Kevin Norwood.

Norwood is one of five Republican candidates running, including 'World of Weed' dispensary owner Brand Peixotto (aka "The Cannabis King" according to his self-published books on the topic), Sheila Vancuren (wife of the representative who resigned, forcing the special election), Maggie Stearman (26 year-old mother of two, daughter-in-law of former conservative Rep. Wendi Stearman), and Marine vet and nonprofit leader Johnathon Shepherd.

Peixotto and Vancuren have the definite money edge ("Cannabis King" Peixotto loaned his campaign $60k), so conservatives will need to consolidate behind a candidate (Norwood or Stearman) in order to make it into the runoff. I'd go with Norwood.

Group touts OK poll showing huge support for citizen-only voting, calls for vote on state question bill

Survey Highlights Overwhelming Support for Citizen-Only Voting in Oklahoma

Oklahoma City (May 23rd) - A recent survey conducted by Americans for Citizen Voting reveals significant support for legislation that would limit voting rights to only U.S. citizens in Oklahoma. The survey underscores a strong preference among Oklahomans for maintaining the integrity of state elections by ensuring that only U.S. citizens are eligible to vote.

"The results of this survey are clear," said Paul Abner, Oklahoma director of American Citizens for Voting. "Oklahomans recognize the importance of safeguarding our elections and are firmly behind Senate Joint Resolution 23, to restrict voting to only U.S. citizens."

David Hill for Congress announced 100 members on Faith Coalition list

Hill Faith Coalition Tops 100 Christian Leaders

OKLAHOMA CITY — The David Hill for Congress campaign today announced their "Faith Coalition" has surpassed 100 members. Membership includes pastors and other faith leaders who serve individuals in Oklahoma's Fifth Congressional District.

"We are very excited about the momentum our campaign is building," stated businessman and conservative outsider David Hill. "But even more impactful is the willingness of these leaders to highlight the political, world issues important to the faith community and Oklahomans. They are helping spread the word that the rights of the unborn matter, that our religious liberties are paramount, and that Christians will engage in politics to be certain their voices are heard. I am proud that our campaign is focused on representing these beliefs that are so important to me and my family," stated Hill.

40 pastors and religious leaders endorse David Hill for Congress

40 Faith Leaders Announce Support for David Hill

OKLAHOMA CITY — A growing list of faith leaders announced their support for conservative Republican David Hill in his race for Congress. Already numbering 40, these faith leaders span the entire district.

"We are excited to have a candidate of the quality of David Hill in the race," stated Paul Abner, an Oklahoma minister for 40 years, who helped organize the group. "Far too often the faith community is either ignored or taken for granted in politics. David Hill has taken the time to visit with us and knows how important faith issues like the right-to-life and religious liberty are to those he intends to represent," Abner continued.

"David Hill has a deep understanding of the importance of both faith and the faith community," stated Dr. Ted Kersh, one of the pastors on the list. "David’s personal faith and the value he places upon issues important to us is evident from the first moment you visit with him," Kersh continued.

Steve Green, President of Hobby Lobby and Board Chairman for Museum of the Bible is among those listed. Green also serves as a co-chair for the Hill campaign.
