Kevin Warnemuende announces candidacy for House District 47

Kevin Warnemuende Announces Candidacy for Oklahoma House District 47

Mustang, OK (Jan. 23rd) – Kevin Warnemuende, a successful local engineer, devoted husband and father, constitutional educator, announces his candidacy for Oklahoma House District 47.

Warnemuende, a Mustang resident since 1999, said his decision to run was driven not by political ambition, but by frustration at politicians talking the talk, but not enacting the solutions that work for Oklahomans.

“I am an engineer – a career that has honed my skills to analyze data, identify the root cause of a problem, and apply principles of physics and engineering to provide solutions.  For years we’ve been hearing about government corruption, out-of-control taxes and spending, poor education outcomes, the struggles of small businesses and family farms, and the ‘brain drain’ as our best and brightest young people leave our state. As I raise my children in a world that seems to value government growth over free enterprise, the American Dream has been spoiled by unchecked national debt that is causing runaway inflation while families struggle to put food on their table. Oklahoma’s healthcare and education outcomes have dropped to the bottom tier ranking, yet we haven’t made the tough choices to reform and succeed. Meanwhile, our unelected agencies have frequently abused the rights of our citizens.  I value the education I received to become a chemical engineer, earning my degree at The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.  I believe Oklahoma’s students should be properly educated in K-12, preparing them to become critical thinkers, while providing skills and knowledge they require to succeed in any career they wish to pursue. We need new voices in government that understand not only what made American great and exceptional, but also have the courage, skills, knowledge and training to apply those exceptional principles to legislation. After prayer and long conversations with my family and community leaders, I accepted the request to step forward and serve.”

A Constitutional Coach and instructor with Patriot Academy’s courses on the U.S. Constitution and Biblical Citizenship, Warnemuende is an active member of the Canadian County GOP, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of OK2A. He is also active at The Bridge Church in Mustang, where he has mentored youth and children, and volunteered in ministry.

His campaign priorities include lowering taxes, serving the people first by rooting out corruption regardless of party, strengthening families and opportunity, and protecting individual liberties.

“The Oklahoma Legislature should work for everyday Oklahomans and our next generation, not for those that tempt them with titles and donations,” Warnemuende said. “We need principled leadership focused on limited government, freedom, and accountability so that Oklahomans may once again be served properly.”

Kevin Warnemuende has been married for 17 years, has two children, and is the proud grandfather of his first grandchild.
