While my day job has me serving as Chief of Police in Muskogee, I am writing today more as a father and grandfather who is also the product of a family marred by substance abuse.
Substance abuse is nothing new.
We're now less than two weeks from the 2022 primary election, so I thought I'd write my take on the two most competitive and crowded races attracting attention in the state.
Republican Johnny Teehee Launches TV “Put America on the Right Track” Commercial
(June 2nd) Conservative Republican and career police officer Johnny Teehee launched his campaign’s first commercial today. Set in Teehee’s hometown of Vian, the commercial touts the values Teehee learned being raised by his grandparents literally next to the railroad tracks. “My grandparents’ values and faith in Jesus Christ put me on the right track, and we all know America needs that right now,” Teehee says in the advertisement.
Candidate filing has concluded, and at the same time the first campaign fundraising reports are available for some of the leading candidates for federal office.
