OKLAHOMA CITY (October 29, 2026) – Today, Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Judge Marion D. Fry to the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals, District 3.

"Judge Fry has spent his whole career fighting for law and order,” said Governor Stitt. "He knows the law, he respects the Constitution, and he understands that public safety matters to every Oklahoma family. I'm confident he'll serve the people of eastern Oklahoma and our entire state well on the Court of Criminal Appeals."

Fry has served as Associate District Judge of LeFlore County since 2015. He was first elected in 2014 and re-elected without opposition in 2018, 2022 and 2026. On the bench, he has presided over a wide range of cases, including criminal and juvenile delinquency matters.

Before becoming a judge, Fry served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Tulsa County and LeFlore County District Attorney's Offices.

"I am honored and humbled by Governor Stitt's confidence in me," said Fry. "I've spent my career working alongside law enforcement, victims and families in our courtrooms, and I've seen how much fair, faithful application of the law matters to them. I will bring that same commitment to the Court of Criminal Appeals, and I'm grateful to the people of LeFlore County for the privilege of serving them these past 12 years."

Fry holds a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and a law degree from The University of Tulsa College of Law.
