Conservative Jonathan Hewitt launches candidacy for State House District 101

It's been a while since a conservative held the House District 101 seat; Jonathan Hewitt aims to change that, and is challenging incumbent Robert Manger in the GOP primary. No one else filed, so this is a winner-take-all head-to-head race:


Jonathan Hewitt Launches Candidacy for Oklahoma State Representative, District 101 

Choctaw, OK — 04/03/2024 — Today, Jonathan Hewitt proudly announces that he has filed for the position of Oklahoma State Representative for House District 101 with the Oklahoma State Election Board. Jonathan has a deep-rooted commitment to community service and an unwavering dedication to Oklahoman values, he steps forward to be a representative who will serve with integrity and transparency for his constituents. 

Throughout his campaign and, when elected, during his tenure in office, Jonathan will uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency. In an unwavering stance, he has declared that he will not be accepting any direct contributions or financial support from lobbyists, special interest groups, political action committees, or corporations. His allegiance lies solely with his neighbors in District 101, affirming that his responsibility is to his constituents and not to large companies seeking to influence his vote. 

Jonathan firmly believes in the principles of limited government, recognizing its pivotal role in safeguarding the rights of Oklahomans while respecting individual autonomy and privacy. He aspires to champion legislation that empowers citizens, free from unnecessary governmental intrusion. 

With his background as a legislative assistant in the Oklahoma House, a dedicated police officer, and a Marine Corps veteran, Jonathan brings firsthand experience of the impacts of legislation on communities. He is blessed to be married to his wonderful wife, Kimber, and together, they are proud parents to their one-year-old daughter, Scarlett.
