Former House Speaker Charles McCall has received a boost for his campaign for governor. 'Oklahoma Conservative Coalition', a new super PAC aimed at touting McCall's candidacy, has started an 8-week, $1.6 million statewide ad campaign.
McCall and current Attorney General Gentner Drummond are the clear frontrunners in name recognition and campaign finances (both having substantial personal wealth and a history or ability to self-fund) in the 2026 gubernatorial race. Governor Kevin Stitt is ineligible to run due to term limits.
Other Republican candidates include former State Sen. Mike Mazzei and Jake Merrick, and businesswoman Leisa Mitchell Haynes. Former governor Frank Keating's son Chip, former Secretary of Public Safety under Stitt, is said to be considering a run as well.
