My thoughts on McCain and Obama's VP picks:
Obama taps Sen. Joe Biden (D, Delaware) to build some foreign policy credentials.
McCain chooses Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R, MN). A safe pick; no major disadvantages, and doesn't alienate the base.
