Former State Rep. Dan Fisher to seek GOP gubernatorial nomination

Former state representative Dan Fisher (R-El Reno) has filed a statement of organization with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission indicating his intent to run for Governor. Fisher served two terms in the State House (first elected in 2012), but did not seek reelection in 2016.

He joins fellow Republican candidates OKC Mayor Mick Cornett, State Auditor Gary Jones, Lieut. Gov. Todd Lamb, and attorney Gary Richardson.

On the Democratic side, candidates so far are attorney Norman Brown, former Attorney General Drew Edmondson, House Minority Leader Scott Inman, former State Sen. Connie Johnson. Libertarians Rex Lawhorn and Joseph Maldonado are also running.
