Gov. Stitt appoints Tommy Humphries as District 4 District Attorney


GOVERNOR STITT APPOINTS TOMMY HUMPHRIES AS DISTRICT 4 DISTRICT ATTORNEY

OKLAHOMA CITY (December 12, 2023) - Today, Governor Kevin Stitt announced his appointment of Tommy Humphries to serve as district attorney for District 4, which encompasses Canadian, Garfield, Kingfisher, Blaine, and Grant Counties.

"Tommy is smart on crime and a strong advocate for fairness and justice," said Governor Stitt. "Tommy has a proven track record and a wealth of experience, and I'm confident his leadership will strengthen public safety in Canadian County.”

Humphries has served as the Canadian County assistant district attorney since 2017, working alongside District Attorney Mike Fields in the operation and oversight of the district attorney offices in Canadian, Garfield, Kingfisher, Blaine and Grant Counties.

"I'm grateful to Governor Stitt for this immense honor and I am committed to ensuring the safety of our communities," said Humphries. "As district attorney, I'll work to ensure fairness, accountability, and integrity in our justice system."

Humphries graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996 before earning his juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa in 2001.
