US Sen. James Lankford & State Sen. Joseph Silk To hold Joint Community Meet and Greet Friday October 14th in Broken Bow

(Broken Bow, OK, 10/14/2016) – U.S. Senator James Lankford and State Senator Joseph Silk are hosting a joint Community Meet & Greet on Friday, October 14th at 2pm. The event will be held at Papa Poblano’s, 304 N. Park in Broken Bow. Press is welcome.

Senator Lankford is endorsing State Senator Joseph Silk in the November 8th election. Senator Lankford also endorsed State Senator Silk two years ago during Silk’s first run to complete the term of State Senator Jerry Ellis, who was required to step down to enacted term limit laws. Now, Silk is running for his first complete four-year term.

Senator Lankford states, "State Senator Joseph Silk is a leader in protecting life and following the Constitution. Joseph has proven to be a courageous and conservative leader.  He has led the efforts for budget reform, protection of natural resources and religious liberties.  Senator Silk is the voice for SE Oklahoma's future - he cares about veteran’s issues, job creation, infrastructure, and education.  On November 8, I ask that you re-elect Joseph Silk."

State Senator Silk has been recognized and backed by multiple groups, due to his strong leadership and accomplishments in his first two years in office: the NRA, Gun Owners of America and Oklahoma Second Amendment Association have all endorsed him, and Silk won a rare “A+” top rating from the NRA. Silk is also endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business, for his work on creating policies that are friendly to job growth. For his conservative, constitutional stands, former Senator, Dr. Tom Coburn and Oklahoma Conservative PAC also endorse Silk’s election.
